Dear Church Family:
I am sure that as a good citizen of our community you are aware of, and care about, the tremendously important food drives that have taken place in our communities due to Covid-19.
The United Way of Lowndes and Noxubee County, along with various other organizations, are preparing for a food drive that will take place on April 2, 2021 at the Columbus Soccer Complex. The plan is to give out food for 1,200 families. In addition to the food, we would like to give out candy bags for the children of those families. We need your help with providing candy bags for the children. (Please no chocolate and no peanuts)
We really need the talents and abilities of your church to make this project a success. Could you possibly contribute at least 75 candy bags for this most worthwhile endeavor? If you would just like to make a donation or purchase candy please contact me at 662-251-6048. Please make checks payable to United Way (memo EASTER CANDY) P.O. Box 266, Columbus MS, 39703. Not only the United Way but the whole community would be most grateful and appreciative.
